Barpak Trekking is the newly formed trekking route in Nepal especially for those groups who have the bold interest to visit the center point of earthquake 2015 April 25. The Barpak Gaun lies in the northern part of Nepal. Actually, it is the epicenter of Earthquake 25 April 2015 and located on top of the hilly area in the Gorkha district with the elevation of 1900 m. It is almost 45km far from the Gorkha Bazaar. The village is mainly populated by the Ghale people who are a kind of ethnic groups. We have well known about the history of Gaje Ghale who was a Nepalese Gurkha recipient of the Victoria Cross the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

Basically, the Barpak Trekking begins from Baluwa after having almost 7 hours of driving from Kathmandu. Then your trek starts along the road ways at first just for the half an hour and joins the steep ascending path through the forest ways. The continuation of your ascending takes you at the earthquake epicenter 2015 i.e. the Barpak Village. This is a very large village with almost 1450 houses and mostly the inhabitants are served in Indian, British and in Nepali army. The village offers the very stunning views of Buddha Himal with an elevation of 6142 m. There is the availability of home stay, normal hotels and the camping areas too. The main production of this area is oak, potato, and paddy and so on. The trek to Laprak is a little bit hard walk as you need to go up and up almost all the ways through the pine trees. Then you enter the new settlement of Laprak Gaun. The prime attraction of this village is the earthquake affected sector and it is complimented by the awe struck sceneries of Mt. Manaslu, Buddha Himal and the very closer Ganesh Mountain. Your trekking goes through the down and up hills along the jungle and adjoins the Dhading district at Sotikhola which is a Manaslu trekking starting point. From there, you trek down to the Arughat and have a long drive to Kathmandu. En route, you enjoy the hillside, rivers and the greeneries.
