Dhampus Sarangkot Trekking is a very short trekking trail in the Annapurna region. So, it is named as the Short Dhampus Sarangkot Trek. Sarangkot and Dhampus are the two different places above the Pokhara and both show the spectacular views of Annapurna ranges, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Machchhapuchhre. Greeneries and terraced farmlands are the added attraction while having the Dhampus to Sarangkot hiking.

Pokhara Valley is itself the major interesting feature. The boating and paragliding on and over respectively Fewa Lake are refreshing activity. Taal Barahi Temple in the middle of the Fewa Lake is mysterious.

Dhampus to Sarangkot Trek begins from Phedi after having a short drive from Pokhara. Then the trek ascends along the terraced farmlands and the rhododendron forest and reaches at Dhampus. It is mainly populated by the ethnic tribe, Gurung people along with the Brahmin and Magar. After reaching there, the trekkers can enjoy the lunch in front of the wonderful Himalayan scenarios such as Annapurna, Lamjung Himal and other snow capped peaks.

The continuation of trail through the rice paddies, hills and mountain sceneries takes the trekkers at the wonderful viewpoint i.e. Sarangkot. It is almost 3-4 hours of walking. Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.

    Upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by the representative from Rising Adventure at the arrival gate and transferred to hotel.

  • Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

    This is your day for sightseeing. So, you are picked up by your tour guide from your hotel. Basically, Kathmandu Sightseeing involves the four UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu. They are Kathmandu Darbar Square, Swayabhunath Stupa, Boudhnath Stupa and the Pashupatinath Temple. However, we also organize other sightseeing tours nearby Kathmandu in accordance with your desires like Patan and Bhaktapur Darbar Squares those too are enlisted in UNESCO.

    In the evening, Rising Adventure will discuss about your trip and introduce our trekking guide as well as other members.

  • Day 03: Drive to Pokhara

    The Tourist Bus to Pokhara leaves at 7 am from Kathmandu. So, your trekking guide will pick up you at 6:30 am from the hotel. You will reach to Pokhara within around 6 hour travelling passing through the magnificent beauty of hills, rivers and mountains. . A beautiful valley set on the banks of the Phewa Lake, Pokhara is also popular for its panoramic views of Annapurna, Machchhapuchchhre (shape of fish tail) in the north, Dhaulagiri in the west, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu in the east.

  • Day 04: Drive to Phedi from Pokhara and trek to Dhampus

    This is the first day of your trekking. First of all, you will have a drive of half an hour until Phedi from where your trail starts. You will go up to the place, known as Dhampus passing through the green forests as well as rice terrace. It takes almost 4 hours to reach to Dhampus.

  • Day 05: Trek to Sarangkot

    Today your trail will go to Sarangkot, a vantage point for looking sunrise and sunset over the Annapurna ranges. On the way, you will see the rice paddies, magnficent hills, gorgeous views of Himalayas and so on. After reaching to Sarangkot, you will see the magical sunset as well as overall view of Pokhara city.

  • Day 06: Trek to Pokhar

    Today, you are going to see the magical sunrise early in the morning. Then your trail will go down to the bank of Phewa Lake. After reaching there, you will have two choices either to go for sightseeing or to transfer to the hotel.

  • Day 07: Drive back to Kathmandu

    The leaving time of Tourist Bus in Pokhara is also at 7:30 am. So, your trekking guide will pick up you to Tourist Bus Park at 7:00 am. Then you will come back to Kathmandu following the same route and time.
