Ghandruk Ghorepani Poonhill Trek

Ghandruk, Ghorepani, and Poonhill are the three different places, located beyond the beautiful valley known as Pokhara. These are the perfect trekking points. We have created this package aiming to share the specialties of Nepalese culture in front of gay parties in order to celebrate their freedom with such people.  Ghandruk Ghorepani Poonhill trekking is a short and scenic tour package with cultural experiences. This trek is suitable for beginners because the trail is easy with the possibilities of various accommodations. Similarly, it is a perfect destination for such a trekker who does not have enough time to spend but has a strong desire to enroll in some trekking activities and explore the Nepalese Himalayan region. The majestic mountain vistas welcome you most of the time along the way.

The Ghandruk Ghorepani Poonhill trek begins after having a short drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. The trail first goes up along the Modi Khola and reaches Birethati through the forested area. The next day, you will go to meet your first and foremost destination i.e. Ghandruk. It is an ethnic village, inhabited by Gurung and Poon Magar tribes. Their culture is praiseworthy. They welcome you very warmly to their homestays and display their cultural features including dancing. They look pretty in their traditional dresses. Having breakfast in front of the majestic Himalayan views in the countryside of Nepal is absolutely amazing.

Another destination is Ghorepani village. It is also an ethnic place. Their hospitality is as equally awesome as that of Ghandruk inhabitants. It is a beautiful place, popular for the dense rhododendron forest and other surrounding mountains like Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Fishtail. Having food in front of those sceneries would be an incredible moment. Poon Hill hiking is the final destination of the Ghandruk Ghorepani Poonhill trek. It is 3210 m high above sea level. You will go hiking in the morning. It takes almost one hour to reach there from Ghorepani. You can see the best glorious sunrise views over the Himalayan Massifs like Annapurna (8,091 m), Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), and other snowcapped peaks. Then, the trek continues to Nayapul. You will have a short drive and reach Pokhara.

Itinerary

  • Day 01: Drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu on Tourist Bus

    After having your breakfast in the morning, you will have almost 6 hours of driving from Kathmandu to Pokhara. During riding, you can see the views of rivers, highways, countryside, hills, towns, and green forests. You will have your lunch en route.

    You will be transferred to the hotel after reaching Pokhara. It is a beautiful place, surrounded by lakes and mountains. So, we strongly recommend you to visit this place either your way or with a guide.

  • Day 02: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Birethati

    Today, you are going to begin your Ghandruk Ghorepani Poonhill trek. So, you will have a short drive from Pokhara to Nayapul in the morning. Then the trek embarks on along the Modi River Valley. It continues through the lush forest. The Annapurna views seem clear, though, from farther. Finally, you reach Birethati.

  • Day 03: Trek to Ghandruk

    Ghandruk is one of the destinations of Ghandruk Ghorepani Poonhill trek. The trail goes ahead along with the terraced farmland beneath the awe-inspiring mountain giants. It passes the cultivated field and the forests. You will reach Ghandruk after crossing the suspension bridge over the Khumjung River. Crossing such an ancient bridge arouses a sense of thrilling the mind of trekkers. You can witness the beautiful Himalayas like Mt. Annapurna south and III, Himchuli, Gangapurna, and Machhapuchchhre.

  • Day 04: Trek to Tadapani

    Almost three hours of trekking is enough for today but it is tiring walking because you need to walk on descending and ascending ways. En route, rhododendron forests, cascading mountain streams, and other natural sceneries seem awesome. After stepping up, you will reach Tadapani which showcases the most enchanting Annapurna South.

  • Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani

    Today, you are going to another destination i.e. Ghorepani. It is also an ethnic village, that offers majestic mountains, plants, and green vegetation. The trail goes up through the forest of rhododendron and reaches a small village, known as Deurali where you will have lunch. It moves on continuously on the cultivated farm fields, passes a hamlet, and reaches Ghorepani after walking almost 3 hours from there.

  • Day 06: Poon Hill (3210 m) Hiking and trek back to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara

    In the early morning, you will go for Poon Hill hiking. It is a view tower, from where you can see the mesmerizing sunrise views over the Annapurna Massifs, Dhaulagiri, and Tukuche peaks. After hiking down, you will have breakfast at Ghorepani and the trail continues as the other days. It goes through the dense forest and reaches Ulleri. You may have lunch over there. Then the trek descends towards Nayapul. From there, you will have a short drive back to Pokhara.

    At last, you will be transferred to the hotel and the trekking ends.
