It has been an overland tour due to the road expansion and the accessibility of transportations.

Upper Mustang valley is located in the Trans-Himalayan region. Its geographical and physical structures are amazing as it is a walled city with a high cliff and the rock formation surrounding it. Mustang is rich not physically only, but culturally and religiously too. Thakali people are the typical tribe who lives there and follows the Tibetan Buddhist culture. So, it is like a mini-Tibet tour. You may learn some about the Bon religion as well because some of them practice the Bon religion even today. You may feel surprised after watching the lifestyle and the traditions of the Lhoba people of Mustang. This place is also popular for its unique Tiji festival. Every year, most of the tourists go there for celebrating this festival with such outstanding villagers. Besides, this is a beautiful trip which is possible even in the rainy season because the Mustang is one of the rain-shadow areas of Nepal.

An overland tour to Mustang begins to get incredible after starting your drive from Pokhara, a beautiful valley surrounded by lakes and mountains. It is a comfortable trip for getting mesmerizing views of Annapurna Massif, streams, Kaligandaki river, and others. Jomsom and Muktinath are some of the best scenic places in the Annapurna trekking region. The former is the hub of the Mustang region whereas the latter is popular for Muktinath Temple. It is a temple of both Hindus’ and Buddhists’ religions.
