This package is designed for hiking so, your Nagarkot hiking trail starts from Changunarayan. It takes almost four hours to reach there. On the way, you see the views of Sankhu Village and the Bhaktapur sites on your right-hand side and the left-hand side respectively. You go on through the beautiful forest and pass the Tamang Village. It is an easy trekking trail and not difficult to follow the Nagarkot hiking map.

Finally, your hiking takes you to Nagarkot. It is a beautiful place and considered as the vantage point for looking at the sunrise and sunset over the Himalayan ranges including the world’s highest peak Mt. Everest. The Sceneries are much breathtaking that you have never imagined before visiting this place. You need to reach there before sunsets. After reaching there, you take a rest for some time and ready to view the sunset over the beautiful mountains. Finally, the Nagarkot hiking ends there and you have a drive back to Kathmandu.

Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

    Upon your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport, one of our representatives will pick you up from the arrival terminal and transfer you to the hotel.

  • Day 02: Drive to Changunarayan (1 hr), hike to Nagarkot (2195 m/4-5 hrs) and drive back to Kathmandu (1:30 hrs)

    After having breakfast, our guide will pick up you from your hotel in Kathmandu and your tour will start. First of all, you will go to Changunarayan in a private vehicle. It takes almost 1 hour to reach to Changunarayan, which is full of the temple of Lord Bishnu. From there, your hiking will start. So, you will move on almost 2 hours straight till Tellkot village through the pine forest. Afterward, 3 hours ascending of your hiking will take you to the beautiful place at Nagarkot from where you can enjoy the stunning views of mountain ranges as well as the charming sunset over the Himalayas. After spending some time there, you will come back to Kathmandu by private vehicle.
