Detail Itinerary

Day 01:Arrives in Kathmandu (1350m/ 4429ft) and transfers to the hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu Upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by the representative from Rising Adventure at the arrival gate and transferred to hotel.

Day 02:Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation. Overnight in KathmanduThis is your day for sightseeing. So, you are picked up by your tour guide from your hotel. Basically, Kathmandu Sightseeing involves the four UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu. They are Kathmandu Darbar Square, Swayabhunath Stupa, Boudhnath Stupa and the Pashupatinath Temple. However, we also organize other sightseeing tours nearby Kathmandu in accordance with your desires like Patan and Bhaktapur Darbar Squares those too are enlisted in UNESCO.
At last, we involve in trekking preparation and introduce you to our trekking guide.

Day 03:Drive to Besisahar (760m/ 2493ft), 6 hrs and Trek to Khudi (790m/ 2592ft), 1 hrs walk. Overnight in Khudi Today you will reach at Besisahar within around 6 hours travelling through the magnificent beauty of hills, rivers and mountains. So, roadway will be as same as for going towards Pokhara until Dumre and have U-turn to Besisahar. In order to reach Khudi from Besisahar, you have a choice either to go to by bus within half an hour or to have an hour hike.

Day 04:Trek to Sirung (1864m/ 6115ft), 5-6 hrs walk.Overnight in Khudi This is the first day of your trekking. On this day, you will trek through the suspension bridges, waterfalls, up and down hills across the rice, paddy and subtropical forest. On the way to Sirung, you will come across the village called Taranche full of ethnic groups especially Tamang. Finally, you will reach to the Sirung, a place where you can also enjoy the cultural program organized by the villagers for the visitors.

Day 05:Trek to Chamje (1430m/ 4692ft), 6-7 hrs walk. Overnight in Chamje Your trek will continue along the Marsyangdi River via the semi-circular-shaped rice terraces, cliff face to the stone village, etc to Syange at 1100m. From there, you will ascend steeply to Jagat(1300m) and continue ascending to the Chamje.

Day 06:Trek to Dharapani (1900m/ 6234ft), 6-7 hrs walk. Overnight in DharapaniThe trail goes through the fertile flat and the forest of bamboo and rhododendron. Then you will reach to the firsr village of Manang district. The trail will continue to Dharapani passing through Khotro and Karte.

Day 07:Trek to Chame (2660m/ 8727ft), 5-6 hrs walk. Overnight in Chame Today you will trek almost 6 hours to reach to Chame. From Chame, you can see the scenic of the Himalayas such as Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II and Annapurna IV.

Day 08:Trek to Pisang (3200m/ 10499ft), 5-6 hrs walk. Overnight in PisangThe trail will go through the deep forest and the narrow valley. On the way to Pisang, you will recross the brides again and again; and through the wonderful sites you will reach at Pisang.

Day 09:Trek to Manang (3540m/ 11614 ft), 5-6 hrs walk. Overnight in Manang In order to go to Manang you will have two choices either goes to from upper or from lower. But Rising Adventure recommends you to choose the upper route through the Upper Pisang, where you will have the magnificent views of mountain peaks such as Annapurna, Pisang peak as well as many others. Then you will have a short visit to Barge manastery, the largest in the entire district of Manang will be memorable.

Day 10:Rest in Manang - Acclimatization day Today you are going to spend a day in Manang not for rest and relaxation only, but for acclimatization too. So, Rising Adventure will not recommend you to stay idle rather having altitude during the day time and come back to Manang for the night only. So, on the day time for acclimatization you will have an hour hike either to Bhojo Gompa or to Grangapurna Glacier.

Day 11:Trek to Yak Kharka (4050m/ 13287ft), 5-6 hrs walk. Overnight in Yak Kharkha Your trail will go up steadily from Manang to the Tengi village and Marsyangdi Valley; and continue along the Jarsang Khola. Then on the way you will find that the vegetation is being shorter as well as you will see the grazing horses and yaks on the meadow; and finally you will reach to Yak Kharka.

Day 12:Trek to Thorang Phedi (4450m/ 14600ft), 5-6 hrs walk. Overnight in Thorang Phedi Today you will cross the river at 4310m and reach to Thorong Phedi, a place at the bottom of pass. There is the small number of settlements in Thorong Phedi, but it is the busy area where most of the trekkers spend a night as the point of base camp.

Day 13:Trek to Muktinath (3760m/ 12336ft) via Thorang La Pass ( 5416m/ 17769ft), 8-9 hrs walk. Overnight in MuktinathToday you are going to reach at the climax of your trekking. So, your trek will start early in the morning and ascend steeply almost 6 hours to reach to Thorong La Pass where you can see the stunning views of high Himalayas. From there, you will descend and reach to the important temple of Hindus and Buddhist, known as Muktinath Temple. You will spend a night there in Muktinath.

Day 14:Trek to Marpha (2670m/ 8769ft), 6-7 hrs walk. Overnight in MarphaToday in the morning, you will visit the Vishnu Temple and Gompa nearby Muktinath Temple. Then you will descend to Ranipauwa village to Kagbeni to Jomsom through the steep and barren hillside. From Jomsom your trail will go to Marpha along the plateau above the world’s deepest gorge, known as Kali Gandaki. Finally, you will reach to Marpha, which is famous for apple.

Day 15:Trek to Ghasa (2010m/ 6594ft), 6-7 hrs walk. Overnight in GhasaFrom Marpha, you will be heading down to Ghasa through the village Tukuche and Kalopani of ethnic Thakali people. On the way, you will see the unbroken views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiris, Annapurna I and so on. At last, you will reach to Ghasa.

Day 16:Trek to Tatopani (1190m/ 3904ft), 6-7 hrs walk. Overnight in TatopaniYou will go through the subtropical forest and reach to the popular waterfall, known as Rupse Chhahara continuing your trekking you will reach to Tatopani. While translating Tatopani, its meaning stands for hot springs and there you can have a bathe.

Day 17:Trek to Ghorepani (2860m/ 9383ft), 5-6 hrs walk. Overnight in Ghorepani From Tatopani, you will ascend for going to Ghorepani. As you follow the route, you will go through the terraced farmlands Ghara and Sikha; and reach to Chitre. From there you will go to Ghorepani via the rhodidendron forest.

Day 18:Trek to Nayapul (1070m/ 3510ft), 6-7 hrs walk and drive to Pokhara (42km/ 1:30 min). Overnight in PokharaYou will go to Ulleri through the rhododendron forest, where is the largest settlement of ethnic Magar people. You will have a lunch there and continue your trail until to Nayapul. Afterwards, you will have an hour drive and finally reach to a beautiful valley set on the banks of the Phewa Lake, Pokhara, which is also popular for its panoramic views of Annapurna, Machapuchare (shape of fish tail) in the north, Dhaulagiri in the west, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu in the east.

Day 19:Drive to Kathmandu (1350m/ 4429ft), 210KM/ 7 hrs drive. Overnight in KathmanduThe leaving time of Tourist Bus in Pokhara is also at 7:30 am. So, your trekking guide will pick up you to Tourist Bus Park at 7:00 am. Then the roadway will be as different as before until Dumre but from there will follow the previous way to come back to Kathmandu.

Day 20:Departure from Kathmandu Or Enroll in other activities Today your trip in Nepal comes to an end and the representative from Rising Adventure will take you to the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight.

Accommodation

You will be stayed at 3-star hotel whenever you are in Kathmandu and Pokhara during your trip. While in trekking in Annapurna Region, you will spend your nights at local tea houses or at Hostel in terms of availability. In addition, you will be provided rooms with twin share basis in most of the places during your trek.

Foods

During your trip in Annapurna Region, you will be provided only breakfast by the hotels of both Kathmandu and Pokhara wherever you stay. Rising Adventure also invites you to have either lunch or dinner in your arrival or farewell by managing the time. But during your trekking, you will be had breakfast and dinner on the basis of menu of local  tea houses or lodges wherever you spend your nights and your lunch will be provided on the way of your walking. You will taste Nepalese food in most of the places in trekking period, however, there are some tea houses which provide some international food like Chinese, Indian, Continental, Tibetan and so on.

Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is compulsory for joining Rising Adventure’s activities. We require your travel insurance must cover the emergency accidents (includes helicopter rescue and air ambulance) with medical expenses and others like cancellation, personal liable, loss of luggage and so on. It helps you to travel freely and confidently. Please be noted that we do not arrange and sell insurance.

Acclimatization

The itineraries of Rising Adventure are designed with preventive method especially for AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). We know that AMS occurs while in higher elevation which may cause to kill. So, our company has been organizing the trips in any Himalayan region of Nepal with paying serious attention to AMS. Our pivotal priority always goes to Safety and Security. In addition, all the guides and porters of our company are the trainer of First-Aid. However, we always advices our clients to consult with doctor and be the fit and fine before planning to do any adventurous activities in the higher elevation area whether i.e. in Himalayan region or in hilly region.

Porter Care

We believe on “behind every successful man there is a woman”. So, Rising Adventure is also the outcome of our hard worker staffs especially the porters. Rising Adventure wants to make you sure that all the porters of our company are strong physically, behave friendly and speak a lit bit English as well as carry your backpacks very safely. So, Rising Adventure also pays the serious attention towards them. We treat them as equally as our other staffs like guides and office staffs. We even do the insurance of porters while they engage in any types of adventurous activities and also rescue them by providing Helicopter on our own expense whenever they are in dangerous condition. In addition, we have mentioned some rules too in the favour of porters like the weight of one luggage should be up to 20 kg, one porter is only for two travelers and so on.

Health & Experience Requirements

Trekking in Annapurna Region is not too risky. You will have almost 6 hours walking during the trek. So, it is better to have past experiences either of hiking or of short days trekking in the higher elevation because you need to walk more times in higher elevation while trekking in this area, but we also arrange some short types of treks in the lower elevation in Annapurna Region. However, it is not mandatory to have such experiences, but you need to be fit and fine physically as well as mentally and no any technical skills are required to trek in Annapurna Region. Anyway, Rising Adventure believes in that if anyone has the strong intention to do something, s/he will be successful definitely due to his/her courageous will. In addition, Rising Adventure strongly advises you to have the regular exercises like jogging, walking, running, etc even for some periods of time before going to trekking because we agree that such types of exercise also helps to do trekking very easily in the higher elevation. At last we advise you to consult with doctor before heading to do any kinds of adventure activities.

Best Seasons

Trekking in Annapurna Region is very best in autumn as well as in spring seasons. So, it is crowded in these both seasons. If anyone prefers to have trekking in less crowded time for enjoying much, s/he can plan for trekking in winter in this area, though, it is cold. Although, it is quite boring to trek in the higher elevation in summer and monsoon seasons due to rainy times, you can make a plan to trek in the lower elevation in these seasons.
