Gokyo is a tiny village in the Himalayas region of Nepal. It is located 4750 meters above sea level. Its residence is considered one of the highest settlements in Nepal and even in the world.

It can be a wonderful option to go to Gokyo Trek for spending your worthy holidays in the Everest Zone. The trail offers splendid views of Everest giants and glaciated Gokyo Lakes as well as the valley.

The Gokyo Ri trek is another best offering of Gokyo Valley Trek. Gokyo Peak is situated at an elevation of 5357 meters. It shows the four mountains above the 8000 meters high such as Mt. Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, and Cho Oyu.

Everest Gokyo Lake Trekking starts from the Hillary Airport of Lukla after a short flight from Kathmandu. It is the main gateway to the Everest region trekking. In the beginning, the trek adjoins the routes of Cho La Pass Trek and the Everest Base Camp Treks; however, it separates from Namche Bazaar.

Namche is a beautiful place with lots of facilities like city areas. Sherpas are the major residence of this Bazaar. Consequently, Namche Bazaar is best for spending the acclimatization day. Besides, you get the chance to explore it very closely like Sherpa cultures, their lifestyles, and the Buddhist monasteries too.

The Gokyo Lake Trekking continues through the forests of rhododendron, juniper, and other floras. You cross and pass the suspension bridges and many other Sherpa Highlands in a very curious way. In almost all Everest Gokyo Lake Trekking routes, you are welcomed by the stunning mountain ranges.

Your second last destination is Gokyo Valley. It is a very cute place. The Gokyo Valley Trek reaches thereby crossing its very beautiful lakes in chronological order. These lakes are sacred places for Hindus and Buddhists. Phonak Lake is the largest lake. It is a very outstanding day.

From the Valley, you go for a hike to the Gokyo Ri. It is the final destination of the Gokyo Treks and expedition. The views of peaks are wonderstruck. Then you descend through the second Gokyo Lake and come back to Lukla to leave for Kathmandu.

Gokyo Trekking accommodation is based on Tea-houses. It is just like the small lodges. The toilets are clean but the sharing-basis. The trekkers need to pay some amounts for having hot water bathe, but the cold water is free. Similarly, to charge your mobile, you have to pay the charging fees as well. These things happen only in the settlement of higher altitudes.

However, in the lower elevation, the trekkers can stay at star-level hotels according to their financial capacity. But the Tea-houses are also full of basic facilities. You do not need to pay extra for hot water and mobile charging there.

September to November and March to May are the Gokyo Lake Trekking Best Seasons. During these times, the sky is clear and the views are superb. The weather is also fine as the rain does not happen during these seasons.

Gokyo Valley Trek is an exertion trekking trail. This trek has been operated by Rising Adventure for a long time. For more details, you can contact us at any time.
